Every figure on Take Profits comes from a named public source, and pages show which source and when the value was observed. Nothing is estimated to fill a gap: a missing value is shown as unavailable.
Main sources
- US and ASX stock prices: Yahoo Finance chart data. Prices are delayed and stored by our scans, so they can lag the live market by several minutes.
- US company filings and financial statements: SEC EDGAR, including the filing index, quarterly and annual figures from company facts (XBRL), and Form 4 insider filings.
- ASX companies and announcements: ASX's public company directory and announcements feed.
- Earnings and dividend calendars, consensus EPS, short interest and institutional holders: Nasdaq.
- Commodities: front-month futures from Yahoo Finance; lithium carbonate from the Guangzhou Futures Exchange's daily settlement; benchmarks with no free futures feed (such as nickel) from FRED.
- Crypto: CoinGecko.
- Currencies: Yahoo Finance quotes and European Central Bank reference rates.
Checking a value
Most values link to their source page or original document. The Data sources page lists every dataset, the job that updates it, how fresh it must be and whether it is currently healthy.
These are free public sources. They can be delayed, revised or temporarily unavailable, and they are not investment advice.
