1. Information we collect
A. You provide to us
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only as a one-way hash).
- Paid plan details (plan, subscription status, renewal or end date). Payment card details are handled by our payment processor, Stripe, and never reach our servers.
- The watchlist and price alerts you create, and the region, currency and time zone you save in your account.
- Messages you send through the contact form, and feedback you send about the reasons we show for price moves.
B. Automatically collected
- Server logs: IP address, browser and device type, the pages and searches requested, and errors. We use them to run, secure and fix the site.
- Approximate location: on your first visit we look up the country of your IP address in a database kept on our own server (IP geolocation by DB-IP) to choose the currency for estimates and totals; only the country is used, the result is not stored with your IP address, and you can change it at any time with "Region and currency" in the site footer.
- Cookies needed to sign you in, keep the site secure and remember your cookie and theme choices (see Cookies below). We don't use analytics or advertising cookies.
C. From third parties
- Stripe tells us whether a payment succeeded and when a subscription renews or ends.
- Market data and company information come from public sources; they don't contain information about you.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site and services.
- Sign you in and provide your watchlist and price alerts, including alert emails.
- Answer support messages and send service emails (address verification, password resets, billing and security notices).
- Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Monitor performance, fix errors, and prevent fraud and abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We don't send marketing emails and we don't build advertising profiles.
Legal bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)
3. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- Service providers that process it for us under contract: hosting, email delivery, error monitoring and payments (Stripe).
- Professional advisors (legal, accounting) under confidentiality.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers (merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets), where your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.
4. International transfers
Your information may be processed outside your country. Where required (e.g., for EEA/UK residents), we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and supplemental measures.
5. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above, including to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Criteria include account status, feature usage, legal obligations, and dispute resolution needs. We may retain de-identified or aggregated data.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring). No system is perfectly secure; please use strong, unique passwords and enable any available security features.
7. Your privacy choices & rights
Preferences
- Alert emails: every alert email has a link to stop that alert, and you can pause or delete any alert on your Alerts page.
- Cookies: accept or reject third-party content (TradingView charts and X posts) in our cookie banner, which you can reopen at any time via "Cookie settings" in the site footer; you can also use your browser settings or device controls (note: essential cookies can't be disabled).
Access & control (varies by region)
- EU/UK (GDPR): access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, portability, and withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
- California (CPRA): right to know, delete and correct. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use cross-context behavioural advertising.
- Australia: access and correction rights; complaints can be directed to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if unresolved.
You can download everything we store for your account, and delete your account, from the Profile and security section of your account page. For anything else, contact us (see Contact us). We may need to verify your identity.
8. Cookies & similar technologies
We set only:
- Strictly necessary cookies: your sign-in session, security tokens that protect forms (CSRF) and, if you choose it, "remember me".
- Your choices: the
tp_consentcookie described below, and your light/dark theme choice (stored in your browser). - Region and currency: the
tp_localecookie holds your country, the currency for estimates and totals, and an optional time zone (for exampleAU|AUD||0). We set it from your IP address's country on your first visit (for 30 days) or from your choice in "Region and currency" (for 12 months). It contains no IP address or other identifier.
We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Third-party content and your choice
Some pages embed content from third parties: interactive charts from TradingView and timelines from X (Twitter). These providers may set their own cookies and receive information about your visit (such as your IP address and the page you are viewing). We load them only after you select Accept in our cookie banner; until then a placeholder is shown instead. If you select Reject, they are not loaded.
We store your choice in a first-party cookie named tp_consent for 12 months. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" in the site footer.
9. Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us to request deletion.
10. Third-party links and integrations
The Site may link to third-party websites, tools, or widgets. Their privacy practices govern any data you provide to them. We're not responsible for their content or policies.
11. Automated decision-making
Some information is generated automatically, such as the confidence scores attached to reasons for price moves and the price alerts you set. It is the same for everyone (not personalised) and has no legal or similarly significant effect on you.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page and, where appropriate, by email. The "Last updated" date shows the current version.
